What a whirlwind! Life has been pretty crazy busy lately, which has been both amazing and exhausting at the same time. I recently returned from a 7-day photo shoot in Orlando. Let me tell you, it is quite difficult to dwell on the hardships of life when you're going non-stop, working to the point of exhaustion every day. Most days we'd leave our hotel between 6:30 and 7am, shoot until about 6pm, grab a quick supper, organize and edit photos and product until around midnight or 1am, and wake up 4-5 hours later to do it all again. I spent the week completely immersed in photography, learning a great deal along the way, with almost no time to dwell on the past six months of my life. It was awesome! Coming back home was a bit hard, but I feel pretty lucky that I'll have another "break" soon - I'll be back in Orlando on Monday to help out with a TV commercial shoot for a week!
Lots of changes will be taking place again soon. We finally sold the house, but don't close until the end of April. I'm praying nothing falls through in the next couple months and that everything will go smoothly. Although it makes me pretty sad to think about moving out of my house, I'm anxious for this chapter of my life to finally be closed so I can really, truly move on.
In just a couple weeks, my mom will be moving down to Cape Coral, Florida. My dad will live with Justin and I for a couple months until the house is sold, then will live with me until school is done at the end of May, when he'll join my mom in Florida. It sounds like a pretty weird living situation for me for the next few months, but it's amazing how much easier things can be when people are mature, honest, and willing to help each other out.
Although I'm sad to see my parents go, I'm so excited for them to live out their dream, and I'm stoked to go visit them! Once again, I'm learning that nothing is more important than family. I'm already planning a trip to visit my parents, and hope to sneak in another trip to Michigan sometime soon to visit my sister and my amazing nephews.
Aside from working a ton, I'm slowly learning how to live life again. I still have ups and downs, and trust isn't coming as easily as I would like, but each day generally gets a little bit better, and for that I am thankful.
"If you're going through hell, keep going!" ... good advice, Mr. Churchill.
